BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Ewing claimed the steeplechase title by finishing 12 seconds faster than the next-closest competitor.
- Ewing is the second Falcon to win the women's steeple (Karin Rohde 2006, '07).
- Aboudou's GNAC title in the long jump of 24-06.25 (7.47m) breaks the SPU record set by the late Steve Gough of 24-04.75 (7.43m) in 1970.
- It's his second 24-foot jump of the season (24-00.25 at Bryan Clay in April).
- He is one of just three Falcons all-time to top 24.
- Aboudou is the third Falcon to win the long jump (Peyton Harris in 2016; David Njeri in 2023).
- It's his fifth outdoor record (100, 200, and LJ), including being a part of two relay records (4x100, 4x400)
- Between the LJ (1970/56 years), the 4x100 (1968/58 years), the 4x400 (2005/21 years), the 100 (2025/1 year), and the 200 (2025/1 year), he has had a hand in taking down a combined 137 years of program history.
- Aboudou also set the indoor 60 dash record three times, the indoor long jump record, and was part of the indoor record 4x400.
- Aboudou also outdid his own 100-meter dash record in Monday's prelims with a 10.46.
- It's the third time this year he has broken the SPU record.
- The record was 10.70, then went 10.66 on March 21 in Corvallis and 10.57 on this same track in Ellensburg on April 11.
