Gouran Scores First-Career Goal, Falcons Tie Roadrunners

DENVER, Colo. – The Seattle Pacific University women's soccer team played its first road match of the year on Thursday evening against MSU Denver as Grace Gouran scored her first career goal for the Falcons, but the Roadrunners answered, and the game ended 1-1.

FROM THE COACH
"Great finish from Gracie," head coach Arby Busey said. "She hit that ball really well. Overall, it was a tough game for us tonight. Our opponent was good and ready for us. We struggled to find a rhythm tonight, and our passing was a bit off. We couldn't get connected. Give credit to MSU Denver for making things so difficult on us tonight. We'll regroup, rest up, and attack Saturday's game."

  • MSUD answered when a foul was called, setting up a penalty kick for the roadrunners.
  • Monica Yoder stepped forward to take and make the penalty kick to tie the game 1-1 in the 45th minute.
