DENVER, Colo. – The Seattle Pacific University women's soccer team took on Regis on the road on Saturday, where
Nora Patterson scored a goal in the second half, but it wasn't enough for the Falcons as they fell 2-1.

"We dug ourselves too deep a hole today," head coach
Arby Busey said. We showed great fight at the end, and if we had a little more time we might have got the job done. These games have been challenging and they will help us continue to grow into the team we want to be."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons opened the game with a barrage of offense, getting off four shots in the first 16 minutes.
- Nora Patterson had a shot that was saved in the 38th minute.
- The Rangers scored in the 42nd minute when Elsa Nolen slotted a shot into the lower left corner of the goal.
- The Rangers scored again in the 57th minute when Paige Davis assisted Brooke Castillo's goal that gave them a 2-0 lead.
- A foul from the Rangers set up a penalty kick for the Falcons. In the 77th minute
- Patterson stepped forward to take and make the penalty kick for SPU, bringing the Falcons to within one of the Rangers.
- The Rangers held on to their lead and took the game 2-1.
FROM THE BOX SCORE
- Taylor Krueger led the Falcons with five shots, two of which were on goal.
- Kayla Wallace sent in three shots for SPU.
- Patterson had two shots on goal, with one being the goal she scored in the
- Mercedes Cullen made the start in goal for the Falcons and made two saves in 90 minutes of play.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Patterson's goal was her first of 2025 and the fifth of her career at SPU.
UP NEXT
The Falcons return to Seattle to host a pair of nonconferences matches next week. SPU welcomes Cal State East Bay on Sept. 18 at 4:30 p.m. followed by a match against #1 Colorado School of Mines on Sept. 20 at 12:00 p.m.
