SEATTLE – Rafael Lucio scored his first career goal for the Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team in the 83rd minute on the road against Stanislaus State on Thursday night, but a goal in the 88th minute from the Warriors lifted them over the Falcons, 2-1.

"It was a tough game, and Stanislaus made it difficult for us tonight," head coach
Kevin Sakuda said. "They are a quality team. Proud of the group to fight our way back into it and then obviously disappointed to give up the late penalty. This will be a game we learn and grow from. We're disappointed in the result but our full focus now is on getting ready for Chico."
HOW IT HAPPENED

- First-year Falcon Brian Lanier made a crucial save on the penalty kick for the Falcons.
- The rebound from the penalty kick found the foot of Gerardo Flores, who slotted it in the lower-right corner to give the Warriors the lead and the eventual win.
