SEATTLE – The Seattle Pacific University men's and women's track & field teams restarted their indoor season on Friday and Saturday at the UW Preview inside Dempsey Indoor with several strong performances from the Falcons.
TOP PERFORMERS
- Hannah Chang finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.75.
- Sarah Bailey ran the 60-meter dash, finishing with a time of 8.13.
- Tarelle Hunter competed in the 60-meter dash, recording a time of 7.29.
- He had a solid performance in the 200-meter dash, finishing with a time of 23.73.
- Mikel Saxon had an impressive opener in pole vault, clearing 14-09.
- The mark was good enough to finish second in the event.
- Brooke Mosby clocked a 58.75 in the 400-meter dash.
- She added a 25.64 in the 200-meter dash.
- Justin Brooks ran the 800-meter in 1:55:16.
- Robert Joshua ran the 400-meter in 50.81.
- Tawaf Aboudou kept building off his performance at the Spokane Invitational with a 46-10.75 triple jump.
- Maya Ewing took 12th in the 3,000-meter run with 10:00.02.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Bailey's 8.13 in the 60-meter dash was a new personal best.
- Saxon's pole vault performance was the best amongst NCAA DII competitors at the meet.
- Mosby's times in the 400-meter and 200-meter dashes set new personal bests for the newcomer to the Falcons.
- Brooks set a new personal record in the 800-meter, besting his old record by nearly three seconds.
- Joshua set a new personal record by one second in the 400-meter dash.
- Aboudou was the highest finisher in the triple jump amongst NCAA DII competitors.
- Ewing ranked third among NCAA DII competitors in the 3,000-meter run.
