BILLINGS, Mont. – The Seattle Pacific University women's basketball team struggled offensively against Montana State University Billings on the road on Saturday afternoon, with the Yellowjackets getting the better of the Falcons, 74-39.

"Unfortunately, we had a hard time sticking to our game plan," head coach
Karen Byers said. "We had some bright spots. Ohta was a defensive highlight. Jade and Layla followed closely behind in their aggressiveness."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Two free throws from Grace Leasure had the Falcons trailing the Yellowjackets 11-10 late in the first quarter, before MSUB ended the period on a 7-2 run.
- SPU answered with an 8-2 run to tie the game 20-20 with eight minutes left in the first half.
- The Yellowjackets used a 19-4 run over the final eight minutes of the first half to go up 39-24 at halftime.
- The Falcons couldn't find it in the second half, going 5-for-27 from the field over the final 20 minutes of the game.
- SPU was outscored 35-16 in the second half and dropped the game to the Yellowjackets, 74-39

- Leasure and Mertes tied with a team-high 10 points for the Falcons.
- Leasure grabbed six rebounds while adding two blocks defensively.
- Haylie Anne-Ohta led the Falcons with eight rebounds and had a team-high four assists on Saturday.
