LACEY, Wash. – Grace Leasure scored a career-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Seattle Pacific University women's basketball team against Saint Martin's on Thursday night, but it wasn't enough as a big second half from the Saints took out the Falcons 83-43.

"Our first quarter was great defensively," head coach
Karen Byers said. "We plan to build on that. The pace of the game was the fastest we have played all season."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Leasure's big night for the Falcons started in the first quarter when she scored seven of the team's 10 points in the period.
- She added five more in the second quarter, while the Saints went on an 18-9 run to take a 28-19 lead at halftime.
- SMU opened the third quarter with a 20-3 run over the Falcons that lasted 4:29.
- SPU's offense sputtered during that stretch, going 1-for-6 from the field while the Saints extended their lead.
- The Falcons outscored the Saints 13-11 over the remainder of the third quarter.
- Five different Falcons scored during that stretch.
- The Saints used another run, this time a 14-3 gap that lasted 7:06 in the fourth quarter.
- SMU went on to take the game 83-43.

- Layne Kearns had a team-high seven rebounds for the Falcons against the Saints.
