ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Seattle Pacific University men's basketball team couldn't find its offensive rhythm on Saturday night against Central Washington, as the Wildcats took down the Falcons 86-60.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons trailed the Wildcats 11-9 before things took a turn.
- CWU went on a 27-17 run over the final 12 minutes of the first half to go up 38-26 at halftime.
- The Wildcats went 7-for-13 during that time and went 13-for-14 from the free throw line to help extend their lead.
- The Falcons turned the ball over four times during that span.
- Connor Drinkwine played well during that stretch, scoring seven points for SPU.
- The first five minutes of the second half belonged to the Wildcats, as they exploded for a 22-5 run over the Falcons.
- CWU knocked down five 3-pointers during that span.
- SPU used a 20-10 run over six minutes in the middle of the second half to try to close the gap, but they couldn't muster enough to get back into the game.
- The Wildcats took the game 86-60.
