Maya Ewing picked up event wins, along with a host of other standout efforts, Seattle Pacific delivered a well-rounded showing Saturday at the OSU PNW Invite in Corvallis.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fresh off an All-American Honorable Mention performance at NCAA Indoor Nationals. Hannah Chang won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.55.
- Justin Brooks won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.90 seconds.
- Maya Ewing earned an event victory in the steeple chase with a time of 10:56.95.
- Katelyn Flolo had a strong performance as well, taking third in the event with a time of 11:20.03.
- Tawaf Aboudou ran a 10.66 in the 100-meter dash, earning a third-place finish in the event.
- Andrew Bell earned a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.10.
- Avery Erickson ran his first steeple chase of the season, clocking a 9:20.46 to earn a second-place finish in the event.
- Mason Hrcek posted a big mark in the pole vault, with his best jump clearing 14-09.
- The SPU women's 4x400-meter relay team clocked a solid time of 3:52.93, with Jada Sarrys, Brooke Mosby, Sophie Hanay, and Ayla Pontius making up the squad.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Aboudou's 10.66 set a new school record in the 100-meter dash and is a new personal best.
- Sarry's posted a personal best in the 200-meter dash with a 25.08.
- Nathan Korth had a personal best in the 800-meter with a time of 1:56.42.
- Alex Venable had his personal best in the same event with a 1:56.69.
- Lucia Templeton turned in a personal best of 4:53.77 in the 1,500-meter run.
- The women's 4x400 team clocked a season's best 3:52.93 on Saturday.
