Evans & McMillan Earn All-Conference Honors

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced its Postseason Men's Basketball awards on Wednesday. Seattle Pacific's Trace Evans earned Second Team honors, and Theo McMillan was named Honorable Mention.

"Anytime you get recognized by the other coaches in the conference, it's certainly humbling, and I know both Trace and Theo are grateful for the recognition," head coach Keffrey Fazio said. "Each of them is a tremendous player and has made some big plays for us over the course of the season."

Evans entered the 2025-26 season as the GNAC Preseason Player of the Year. He brought consistency to the SPU lineup, starting 25 games. Evans scored 13.7 points per game while shooting 51.3 percent from the field. He finished the regular-season ranked 11th in the GNAC in field goal percentage. Evans added 2.4 assists per game for the Falcons offensively.

Evans rebounded well for the Falcons, collecting 5.2 boards per game. His rebounding numbers rank second on the team and 18th in the GNAC.

Evans was a Second Team All-GNAC selection both this season and last. Academically, he is a two-time GNAC All-Academic Team member and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors once.

After a season away from the Falcons, McMillan returned to SPU and collected GNAC Honorable Mention. McMillan racked up some of the most unique stats for his position in the conference. The do-it-all guard averaged 9.5 points per game in 24 starts for the Falcons while shooting 53.9 percent from the floor. McMillan ranked second on the Falcons and finished the regular season in fifth in the conference in shooting percentage.

The SPU offense ran through McMillan, who dished out 5.6 assists per game. He led the team and the GNAC in assists at the end of the regular season. McMillan was fearless on the glass for the Falcons. He grabbed a team-leading 6.5 rebounds per game and ranked sixth in the conference in rebounding.

McMillan collected two double-doubles this season for the Falcons. The first happened against San Francisco State on Dec. 14, and the latest happened against Western Oregon on Jan. 29. McMillan had four games with 10 or more rebounds and seven games with eight or more assists for the Falcons. McMillan hit the game-winning basket against Western Washington on Feb. 7.

"It's great for them to both be recognized, but I also know each of them are team-first guys that their teammates are on each of their minds while accepting these honors," Fazio added."

The Falcons enter this weekend as the fifth seed in the GNAC Championships and take on fourth-seeded Central Washington on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in Bellingham, Wash., on the campus of Western Washington. The winner advances to the GNAC semifinals and will face top-seeded Saint Martin's at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
