SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Seattle Pacific University women's volleyball team played Westmont in their final match at the Yotes Classic Showcase on Saturday morning, where the Falcons used a balanced offensive attack to beat the Warriors 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-21, 25-23).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons used an 11-4 run to close out the first set 25-17 from the Warriors.
- SPU's attack was balanced during this stretch, with six Falcons recording a kill in the closing moments of the opening set.
- Joslyn Greff led the charge for the Falcons in the first set with four kills.
- The Warriors opened the second set with a 16-7 run and went on to even the match with a 25-21 win.
- A 6-0 run for the Falcons in the middle of the third set created enough separation for SPU to take the set 25-21 and a 2-1 match lead.
- It was another balanced offensive effort, with seven Falcons recording kills in the third set, led by three each from Greff and Maiya Lester.
- The fourth set was tied 17-17 when the Falcons used a 7-4 run, followed by a service error, to win 25-23 and complete the 3-1 match.
- Evans once again had a set-high in kills with five in the final frame.

- The Falcons totaled 54 kills on a .208 hitting percentage in Saturday morning's match.
- SPU hit .342 in the opening set of the contest.
- The Falcons gained an advantage from behind the service line with six aces, while the Warriors had none.
- Evans led the team with 12 kills on a .242 hitting percentage with two digs and an assist.
- Greff had 10 kills on a .290 hitting percentage with two digs.
- Eight Falcons recorded a kill against the Warriors.
- Peyton Ensign tied for the game-high with 26 assists, while Avery Veenendall added nine, and Sophia Chambers had eight assists.
- Christina Lopez scooped up 24 digs, while Omlid and Makayla Hickman had 11 digs each.
