DENVER, Colo. – Cooper Schneider scored his first career goal, while
Willem Ficek picked up his second shutout of the season for the 2
nd-ranked Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team in their 1-0 victory over Westminster on Saturday morning.

Kevin Sakuda said. "Westminster asked everything of us, and our guys responded to the challenge. We scored a great team goal, and then it was a gritty team effort to keep the clean sheet. This was a big win on the road and a great response to Thursday's result."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons scored in the 32nd minute with some brilliant offense, as JJ Diaz and David Ochoa strung together passes that led to Schneider's goal.
- Schneider's goal put the Falcons up 1-0, as the score held up for the remainder of the match.
- Ficek made a big save in the 52nd minute of the match, when he punched a shot away that was screaming toward the top right corner of the goal.
- Ficek's final save of the match came in the 60th minute.
- A strong defensive effort from the Falcons helped the team earn a 1-0 victory.

- The Falcons finished the game with 11 shots, two of which were on goal.
- The SPU defense faced 10 shots from the Griffins, with three being on goal.
- Schneider and Isaac Kethcam had a shot on goal each for the Falcons.
- Ficek finished the match with three saves.

- Schneider scored his first career goal and first career game-winner for the Falcons on Saturday.
