Scott Moe begins his first year on the Seattle Pacific men's basketball staff after 17 seasons as a highly successful head coach at the high school level. The 2014-15 season will mark his first year coaching at the collegiate level.Â
Moe compiled an overall record of 312-120 (.722) as a prep head coach. In that time his teams won nine league championships, seven district titles, advanced to the state tournament 11 times and won six state trophies. His teams won two academic state championships and he has received 12 Coach of the Year Awards, including the 2011 State Coach of the Year honor.
His last coaching stop was at Bear Creek in Redmond, Wash. where he took over a program that had gone 4-92 in the previous 5 seasons. In his nine seasons, his Bear Creek teams compiled a 180-43 (.807) record, including 92-8 in conference play.  His teams won seven consecutive league championships, five district titles and collected four state trophies.
In the history of basketball in Washington state, a Class 2B team has beaten a 4A team during the regular season only four times. Moe’s teams are responsible for three of those. He also coached in two all state games.
Scott and his wife Holly, have two children, Oscar (third grade) and Sophie (second grade). They reside in Redmond and attend the City Church.
