Whitney Dibble joins the Seattle Pacific coaching staff for the 2012 season as the lead assistant. She is the first Falcon alum on Johnson’s coaching staff since he took the reins in 2005.
Dibble played as a middle blocker for SPU from 2003-06. She helped the Falcons win back-to-back Great Northwest Athletic Conference titles in 2005 and 2006, and the team also made the NCAA West Regional tournament both years.
After graduating with a major in biology and a minor in psychology, Dibble was back on campus to complete her masters degree in marriage and family therapy, receiving that one in June 2011.
She has been a head coach for the 17-18 age group at Cascade Volleyball Club in Seattle, having been involved with that organization since 2006, and also served as an assistant coach at Forest Ridge School in Bellevue, east of Seattle.
Dibble is a native of Reno, Nev., and currently lives in the Fremont-Green Lake area near SPU.
