SEATTLE – College Sports Communicators announced its Men's and Women's Soccer Teams on Tuesday, featuring four members of the Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team, and six members of the SPU women's soccer team.
The award recognizes the top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom in each of the NCAA's three divisions as well as the NAIA. Academic all-district award winners are eligible for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballots, with first, second, and third team selections to be announced in early December.
"These four guys are wonderful examples of what it means to be a student-athlete," head coach
Kevin Sakuda said. "They are fully committed to their academic and athletic excellence. They are top players on the field, and at the same time, have excelled in the classroom. We see daily all that goes into maintaining such high standards on and off the field, so it is always nice for them to be recognized for their hard work."
"These are amazing accomplishments from these women," head coach
Arby Busey said. "They have very high expectations for themselves and have worked extraordinarily hard to succeed both in the classroom and on the field. Both areas ask a ton of these women, and to be recognized for their achievements shows how devoted they are to school and sport. We are extremely proud of them, and so happy to see them acknowledged for all their efforts."
