LACEY, Wash. – The Seattle Pacific University women's volleyball team took on Saint Martin's on the road on Saturday night, where each set was decided by three points or fewer, but the Falcons fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 26-24) to the Saints.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons fell behind the Saints early in the first set.
- SPU stormed back with a 13-7 run powered by three kills each from Megan Omlid and Amaya Evans to tie the set at 23.
- The Saints secured the final two points to take it 25-23.
- SMU used a 10-3 run to open the second set and gain a lead over the Falcons.
- A service error sparked a 14-4 run by the Falcons.
- Audra Rose led the group with two kills during that run.
- The Saints answered with an 11-5 run to close out the second set 25-22.
- The two teams traded points throughout the third set that featured 21 ties.
- The Falcons had set-point in the third set, but a timely 3-0 run from the Saints earned the set 26-24 and the match 3-0.
FROM THE BOX SCORE
- Omlid led the Falcons with nine kills while adding 10 digs.
- Evans had eight kills on a .316 hitting percentage against the Saints.
- Rose had seven kills while hitting a team-high .353.
- Sophia Chambers led the Falcons in assists with 15, while Avery Veenendall dished out 13 assists.
- Christina Lopez had a team-high 12 digs for the Falcons.
- Madelyn Benjamin had a team-high four block assists.

The Falcons are back inside Royal Brougham Pavilion next week when they host #18 Western Washington on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:00 p.m., followed by a match against #9 Simon Fraser at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25.
