ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Seattle Pacific University women's volleyball team made the quick trip to Central Washington on Thursday night, where the Falcons fell 3-0 (25-14, 25-11, 25-17) to the Wildcats.

"Central has been playing well this season, and they may have played one of their cleanest matches of the season tonight," head coach
Jason Rhine said. "They executed really well, starting with serve and serve receive, and that made it difficult to side out or score points. The crowd was loud and engaged, which is a really fun environment, and we look forward to learning from this environment and opponent and moving on to Saturday."
HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Falcons had an early 5-4 lead over the Wildcats before they went on a 13-3 run, leading to a 25-14 set victory for the home team.
· CWU used a 19-5 run to open the second set against SPU, taking it 25-11.
· It was another early run for the Wildcats in the third set, as they went up 17-10 before taking it 25-17 and the match 3-0.

Megan Omlid led the Falcons with nine kills.

Avery Veenendall had nine assists, the most by any Falcon.
·
Christina Lopez had a team-high 13 digs on Thursday night.
