SEATTLE – Christina Lopez reached 1,000 career digs with the Seattle Pacific University volleyball team during the Falcons' 3-0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-16) victory over Montana State University Billings on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons got off to a hot start against the Yellowjackets, going on an 8-4 run to open the first set.
- SPU closed out the first set with an 11-5 run to take the set 25-16.
- Audra Rose and Omlid led the charge with two kills each.
- The Falcons gained separation from the Yellowjackets with a 10-3 run in the middle of the second set.
- Omlid was on a tear during that span, swatting five kills.
- The Falcons took the second set 25-16.
- The Falcons led 8-7 in the third set before going on a 9-1 run to extend their lead to 16-8.
- SPU went on to take the third set 25-16 and the match 3-0.

- SPU had a hitting percentage of .345 as a team against MSUB.
- Omlid led everyone with 16 kills on an efficient .341 hitting percentage while adding 11 digs for a double-double.
- Evans joined Omlids with double-digit kills with 11 on a .450 hitting percentage.
- Omlid and Madeline Eggerth led the Falcons with two aces each against the Yellowjackets.
- Sophia Chambers (16), Avery Veenendall (11), and Peyton Ensign (10) all had double-figure assists for the Falcons.
- Lopez had a game-high 24 digs for the Falcons on Saturday.
