SEATTLE - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) honored 990 exceptional student-athletes with the 2025 CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award, with five members of the Seattle Pacific University women's rowing team earning recognition for their efforts in the classroom and on the water.

These athletes represent the highest standards of excellence in academic achievement and athletic performance across all divisions of collegiate women's rowing. This year's honorees averaged an impressive GPA above 3.75, with 55 student-athletes achieving a perfect 4.0. These numbers reflect the dedication, time management, and resilience required to excel in demanding collegiate sports while pursuing rigorous academic goals.

The CRCA Scholar-Athlete Award recognizes collegiate rowers who strongly commit to success in the classroom and on the water. Nominees must meet the following criteria.

Student-athletes needed to do the following to meet the academic criteria for the award. They must meet all institutional and conference eligibility rules. They needed to be in their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of eligibility. They had to hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the end of the fall semester/winter quarter.

Athletically, the student-athletes needed to compete in 75 percent of their team's spring races in NCAA or IRA-eligible boats. Or, they could have competed in an NCAA boat at their conference championship.
