SEATTLE – Seattle Pacific's women's rowing team delivered a competitive showing at its lone home regatta of the season, highlighted by a photo-finish in the varsity 8+ and multiple strong performances across the morning on the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
FROM THE COACH
"Traditionally, we finish spring break training with the Falcon Family Dinner and Falcon Regatta, but this year we also had the opportunity to christen a new shell into our fleet," head coach
Kenzie Waltar said. "Before dinner last night, we welcomed Miss Claudia, a new Pocock four, into our racing fleet. Christening a new shell is a unique and special part of our sport, and we are grateful to have donors who make events like this possible. It has been a full weekend of celebrations."
"At Falcon Family Dinner, the seniors were honored with speeches and gifts," Waltar added. "What makes this graduating class special is their ability to lead with both joy and dedication. We're so proud of who they are and what they bring to the team. To conclude the weekend, the Falcons faced off against two outstanding GNAC teams. All three teams raced with grit and tenacity. We're looking forward to seeing these crews again in the next couple of weeks."
