NAMPA, Idaho – The Falcons finished their stay at the Hampton Inn Nighthawks Classic with a match against Concordia Irvine on Saturday afternoon, as the Falcons' offense struggled to get going in a 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 26-24) downfall to the Golden Eagles
FROM THE COACH
"Concordia Irvine came out firing for sure, and they have a great setter running a high-level offense," head coach
Jason Rhine said. "I think that took us a second to get used to before we started attacking back more efficiently. I was proud of how the defense responded and started slowing them down. We played a great set three and felt like we had great shots to extend it to at least four sets, but CUI came up with a couple of big saves and swings to finish it, unfortunately."
"We look forward to returning home and getting the chance to play at home to open up the GNAC against Alaska teams that also have had great starts to their seasons," Rhine added.
