SEATTLE – The Seattle Pacific University women's volleyball team played hard in its home and Great Northwest Athletic Conference opener against Alaska Anchorage on Thursday evening, but the Falcons dropped the match 3-1 (25-19, 17-25, 25-19, 25-20) to the Seawolves.
FROM THE COACH
"We played hard and I thought we did a good job of serving Anchorage tough and mostly keeping them out of their system," head coach
Jason Rhine said. "Both teams battled in transition, and it seemed like whichever team was able to find a solid swing first was typically winning the rally. Credit to both teams for competing throughout the tight sets."
"We are looking forward to preparing tomorrow for Fairbanks," Rhine added. "They typically play with a little bit different style than Anchorage, so it will be fun to adapt and see what advantages we can find against them."
