SEATTLE – Four players scored in double-figures for the Seattle Pacific University men's basketball team against Simon Fraser on Thursday night, as the Falcons picked up an 81-70 victory over the Red Leafs inside Royal Brougham Pavilion.

"After a slow start, I thought our guys settled in and found a good rhythm," head coach
Keffrey Fazio said. "Happy to have Henry back, of course, but really proud of all our guys. We keep fighting, and that's all I can ask for. This time of the year, we're just trying to win GNAC games. We take 'em all."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons were on the wrong end of a 21-9 run from the Red Leafs over the first eight minutes of the game.
- A floater from Theo McMillan sparked a 33-10 run for the Falcons over the final 11 minutes and 17 seconds of the first half.
- SPU went 14-for-22 from the field during this stretch, while holding the Red Leafs to three made field goals.
- Trace Evans was excellent during that span, leading the Falcons with nine points.
- Connor Drinkwine, Julian Mora, and Henry Sandberg scored five points each during that span.
- The prolonged run from the Falcons gave them a 42-31 lead at halftime.
- The Red Leafs pulled to within five points of the Falcons with 12 minutes and 30 seconds left in the game.
- SPU answered by going on a 12-4 run to give themselves a 65-52 lead with just under eight minutes remaining.
- Drinkwine led the way with five points for the Falcons, while the SPU defense forced two turnovers during that run.
- Henry Sandberg mad four free throws during the final 2:20 of the game to keep the Red Leafs at arm's length.
- The Falcons dribbled out the clock to take the game 81-70.
FROM THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons shot it well, going 30-for-58 (51.7 percent) from the field including 11 made 3-pointers.
- Evans and Sandberg led the Falcons with 16 points each.
- Evans added four rebounds and five assists for the Falcons.
- Sandberg made the most of his opportunities at the free throw line, going 9-for-10.
- Grant Coleman finished with 13 points while going 5-for-7 from the field with three 3-pointers.
- Drinkwine scored 12 points on five field goals.
- McMillan had a hand in everything for the Falcons, scoring eight points while grabbing a game-high 10 rebounds and a game-high seven assists.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Falcons have now won 12 of their last 14 meetings with the Red Leafs.
- SPU extended its current winning streak against SFU to four games.
- Thursday was McMillan's third game this season with 10 or more rebounds for the Falcons.
