PUEBLO, Colo. – The Seattle Pacific University competed in the Southern Colorado Open on Sunday and Monday, where
Lauren Lee,
Zoe Garcia, and
Natalie Eklund led the Falcons to a seventh-place team finish in the tournament.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lee led the squad with consistent performances in both rounds of the tournament.
- She shot a 76 in round one, followed by a 77 in round two.
- Each of Lee's rounds featured three birdies, as she took advantage of the 464-yard par five 13th hole in both rounds.
- Lee finished the tournament nine over par and tied for 20th individually.
- Garcia's tournament was up and down, shooting an 81 in round one before blistering the course for a 73 in round two.
- Garcia recorded four birdies in round two, including a two on the sixth hole, and threes on the 16th and 18th holes.
- She finished the tournament 10 over par and tied for 24th individually.
- Eklund matched Garcia's 10 over par performance in the tournament and tied with her for 24th individually.
- Eklund had a 75 in round one and followed it with a 79 in round two.
- She finished the tournament with four birdies.
- Sara Rhodes competed independently from the Falcons in the tournament and finished tied for 16th after going eight over par.
- Rhodes' second round was her best, as she finished even par with three birdies, including back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth holes.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Fellow Great Northwest Athletic Conference teams Montana State University Billings and Saint Martin's competed in the Southern Colorado Open.
- The Yellowjackets tied for third with a 31 over par, while the Saints finished 11th after going 56 over par.

The Falcons compete in their final regular-season tournament at the Chico State Invitational on April 13-14 at Butte Creek Country Club in Chico, Calif.
