Late Runs Lift Cal Poly Pomona Past SPU Volleyball, 3-0

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. – The Seattle Pacific University women's volleyball team started day two of the Yotes Classic Showcase with a match against RV Cal Poly Pomona on Friday afternoon, where late runs from the Broncos dropped the Falcons 3-0 (27-25, 25-18, 25-19).  

HOW IT HAPPENED  

  • An ace from Audra Rose tied the opening set 21-21.  

  • After a quick 3-0 run from the Broncos, the Falcons were facing set point when Joslyn Greff started a 4-0 run for the Falcons that had SPU on the verge of taking the set.  

  • CPP pulled off another 3-0 run to take the opening set 27-25.  

  • Greff was fantastic for the Falcons in the opening set, racking up seven kills.  

  • The Falcons were down 7-3 in the second set but would fight their way back to tie it 14-14.  

  • The Broncos closed out the set with an 11-4 run and took it 25-18.  

  • The Falcons fell victim to another late run from the Broncos in the third set, as CPP closed it out with a 7-3 run to take the set 25-19 and the match 3-0.  

FROM THE BOX SCORE  

  • The Falcons finished the match with 34 kills with a hitting percentage of .168 for the match.  

  • Greff led the Falcons with 15 kills on a .333 hitting percentage with two digs and two assists.  

  • Amaya Evans finished with 10 kills on a .500 hitting percentage.  

  • Christina Lopez had a team-high 12 digs during the match against the Broncos.  

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE  

  • Greff was a kill away from matching a career-high of 16, set against Saint Martin's on Nov. 13, 2025.  

UP NEXT  

The Falcons take on host and 25th-ranked Cal State San Bernardino tonight at 7:00 p.m.
