SEATTLE – Throughout the summer, the Seattle Pacific sports information team will pose a series of questions to various Falcon athletes. We will feature one athlete each Wednesday. This week, women's basketball player Beth Pettingill has the mic:

Now that things are seemingly headed back to some sense of normal, what is one thing you're really looking forward to?
"Going to sports games."

With everything being as unusual as it was this past year, what was the most memorable part about the season for you?
"Coming back from our first loss and beating (that same) team together. After all the forced separation because of covid, it really felt like we were one whole team and that my teammates had my back for anything."

Looking ahead to next season, what are you most excited about?
"Playing a normal schedule and playing all the teams in our conference."

What are you planning to do this summer – Work? Vacation? Hang out with family? All of the above?
"I'm working at a local fitness facility, and I'm playing basketball and hanging out with my friends in my other free time."

What is your favorite summertime way to stay in shape and prepare for next season?
"Working out in the gym and playing full-court pick-up games."

Growing up, what was your favorite thing to do or your favorite place to go during the summer – and why was that your favorite?
"I loved camping at the beach with my family. We would always go to Fort Bragg, a campground in NorCal. We would go every summer, and it's some of my best memories from when I was younger."

Someday – maybe sooner, maybe later – what is one place you'd really like to visit, and why that particular place?
"Sometime soon, I'm planning on visiting either Costa Rica or Tanzania with my brother. We want to see the beautiful islands."
