SEATTLE – There is plenty of basketball to be thankful for this week in Seattle Pacific University Athletics, with women's basketball playing two games in Florida, and men's basketball hosting the Thanksgiving Classic inside Royal Brougham Pavilion this weekend.

Keffrey Fazio said. "Hoping to get a lot of local fans to come see how good basketball is in our area. The teams we are hosting are all tough teams, and we are looking forward to the opportunity to compete in front of our home fans."
ABOUT THE FALCONS
- The Falcons hosted Evergreen State College in their home-opener last Friday night, beating the Geoducks 90-76.
- A 61-percent second half (19-for-31) pushed SPU's field goal accuracy to 57 percent for the game (36-for-61).
- They hit 36 percent from beyond the 3-point arc (9-for-25).
- Trace Evans led the Falcons with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double.
- He sparked the team's 46-20 scoring advantage inside the lane.
- Aengus Sutherland was SPU's second-leading scorer with 15 points.
- The red-shirt freshman had a perfect shooting night, going 7-for-7 from the floor.
- Eleven of those points were compiled after halftime.
- Evans and Sutherland were joined by Henry Sandberg with 14 points and Grant Coleman with 12.
- Theo McMillan distributed a career-high seven assists for the hosts, eclipsing the five he dished out at Alaska Anchorage on Feb. 29, 2024.
- He also contributed eight rebounds and six points.
- Nirvaan Misra, a freshman from nearby Seattle Prep High School, netted five points in his collegiate debut.

- The Falcons took on Azusa Pacific and CUI in the GNAC/PacWest Challenge last weekend, falling in both games.
- Hailey-Anne Ohta did a little bit of everything for the Falcons on Friday afternoon.
- She led the team with 11 points and had a team-high six assists, while grabbing five rebounds for the Falcons.
- Ohta shot 5-for-7 from the field for the Falcons.
- Ohta was one point shy of matching her career-best 12 points, set on Dec. 21, 2024, against MSU Denver.
- Ohta matched her career-best in assists, tying a six-assist performance against Western Washington from Jan. 11, 2025.
- Layne Kearns finished with nine points while going 3-for-3 from the free throw line.
- Madison Rubino, Cascadia Yates, and Grace Mertes scored seven points each for the Falcons.
- Rubuno led the squad with six rebounds.
- Yates set a new career-best with seven points against APU on Friday.
- Layla Senderson scored her first career points for the Falcons with a basket in the fourth quarter of Friday's game.
- A slow start hindered the Falcons in the first half against the Golden Eagles, as they converted nine of their 31 field goal attempts over the first two quarters.
- The Falcons finished the game shooting 37.3 percent (22-for-59) from the field, including a 4-for-13 performance (30.8 percent) from 3-point range.
- Ohta had another strong night for the Falcons, leading the team with 12 points while pulling down three rebounds and dishing out three assists.
- Ohta had a game-high seven steals for the Falcons against the Golden Eagles.
- Ohta set a new career-high in steals with seven against the Golden Eagles.
- Turley turned in 11 points for SPU with five made field goals.
- Kearns and Grace Leasure tied for a team-high five rebounds each against CUI.
