PORTLAND, Ore. – The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced its women's volleyball All-Conference Awards on Tuesday afternoon, with Seattle Pacific's
Christina Lopez and
Megan Omlid earning Honorable Mention.
Lopez had her best season yet with the Falcons in 2025. She played in 98 sets over 26 matches for the Falcons. Lopez racked 476 digs for the Falcons, averaging 4.86 digs per set. Both are single-season bests for the junior from Surprise, Ariz. Lopez had 108 assists this season, with 19 service aces.
Lopez was named GNAC Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 17. Her best weekend of the season helped extend the Falcons' winning streak to four matches. Lopez had 17 digs against Saint Martin's and 26 digs against Western Oregon. She had 43 digs over seven sets for an average of 6.1 digs per set that weekend. For the first time in her career, Lopez has earned GNAC Honorable Mention.
"Christina is an intense competitor and strong leader within our volleyball program," head coach
Jason Rhine said. "She earned the libero position during her freshman year and has since also become a team captain. The team looks up to her overall work ethic and the way in which she pursues every ball in practice. Christina manages to lead by example while also staying encouraging during practice and being easy to get along with for all her teammates. Her dedication to her craft led Christina to top the GNAC with 4.86 digs per set in a league with several other strong liberos. Christina also reached 1000 digs this season, and we are excited to see what number she will reach next year."
Omlid's first year with the Falcons was one that featured immediate impact. The first-year player from Stanwood, Wash., appeared in 98 sets over 26 matches for the Falcons. Omlid had 343 kills for an average of 3.50 per set, and 305 digs for 3.11 per set. She led the team in kills and kills per set in 2025. Omlid ranked second on the team in digs and digs per set as well. Omlid had a strong year serving, collecting 36 aces for the Falcons, the most on the team. Like Lopez, this is Omlid's first GNAC postseason award of her career.
"Megan has made an immediate impact on our team in many ways during her freshman season," Rhine said. "On the court, she does a little bit of everything, being in the top five in the GNAC for kills, top five for aces, and top 20 for digs across all players. She was also targeted by other teams and received the most serves for us this year while maintaining over 95% receiving percentage. In other words, she remained extremely steady and reliable for us, which is exactly how the team views Megan in the way she goes about practice and competition. Megan is also a diligent student and caring teammate who brings joy to the people around her. We are very thankful to have Megan in our program and to see her continue to grow."
