SEATTLE – The Seattle Pacific University women's golf team opened its 2025-26 season with the best tournament finish in program history after securing a fifth-place finish at the Grisham Memorial Shootout on Tuesday, while
Alle Klemkow set a new program record for best single-round score with a 70.
FROM THE COACH
"Great first tournament," head coach
Tyler Copp said. "To average 304 is a major accomplishment to start the year. It speaks to the work our players put in this summer and the competition amongst each other in practice. We had five career-best individual rounds from
Sara Rhodes,
Anika Schau,
Alle Klemkow,
Hannah Hochsprung, and
Natalie Eklund. Alle's 70 (-2) on day two was incredible. The team was beyond excited for Alle."
"This tournament was a stamp of validation to where our program is headed," Copp added. "It was neat to see everyone root for each other. Falcons are excited to use this as momentum for our next tournament."
"Several players had big moments from this tournament," Copp said "It was nice to see Zoe [Garcia] bounce back from day one. Natalie [Eklund] was steady once again. A top 10 finish for Natalie is a great start to her sophomore year. Brigitte [Fenton] played with control. Lauren [Lee] found the fairway consistently and finished her round with another birdie."
