The Falcons have already competed in two indoor meets this season. Andrew Bell returns to the Falcons after a strong first season with the team. He won the 60-meter hurdle indoor GNAC Championship last season with a time of 8.01. Bell became the first SPU men's champion in the 60-meter hurdles last season. It was the sixth time during the 2024-25 season that Bell broke the SPU record in the 60-meter hurdles. Bell took third at the GNAC Outdoor Championships in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.45.

Hannah Chang returns after collecting a GNAC Championship in the women's 60-meter hurdles last season. Chang earned the crown with an 8.72 in the event last February. Chang won the 100-meter hurdles at last year's GNAC Outdoor Championships with a time of 13.85.

After a successful 2025 cross country season, Maya Ewing looks to indoor season to defend her 5000-meter GNAC Championship. Ewing crossed the finish line with a time of 17:24.40, 14 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Ewing's time wiped out not only her indoor personal best (18:10.41 on the same Podium track in December), but also her overall best of 17:39.65 set outdoors in 2024 in Bellingham. Ewing finished second at last year's GNAC Outdoor Championships with a 10 minutes, 34.06 seconds in the steeple chase.

Robert Joshua is back after becoming the first SPU men's sprinter to break seven seconds in the 60-meter dash. He ran a 6.95 in last February's GNAC Championship finals to finish in seventh in the race.

Justin Brooks is back after taking fifth at last year's GNAC Championships in the 400-meter with a time of 48.87. Brooks grabbed fourth at GNAC's during the outdoor season with a time of 47.84.

Pole vaulters Mason Hrcek and Mikel Saxon return after taking fourth and sixth, respectively, at last year's GNAC Championships. Hrcek cleared 13 feet, 9¼ inches; Saxon got over at 13-3½. Saxon cleared 14-09 at the UW Preview on Jan 16. His performance was the best amongst NCAA DII competitors at the meet.

Tamia Cates is ready for the 2025-26 indoor season after finishing 10th in the long jump at last year's conference championships.

Newcomer Tawaf Aboudou has already made his mark with the Falcons, starting at the Spokane Invitation last December. He set school records in the 60-meter dash and the long jump. Aboudou broke the SPU men's indoor track & field 60-meter dash record with a 6.86. Aboudou joined Joshua as the only SPU men's sprinters to go sub seven seconds in the 60-meter dash. Aboudou wasn't finished, adding a school record in the long jump with a leap of 23-06.00. Aboudou 23-6 long jump beat a school record that had stood since 2009, beating out Justin Felt's jump of 23-2.75.

Fellow Newcomer Brooke Mosby had a strong performance for the Falcons last time out. Mosby's times in the 400-meters (58.75) and 200-meters (25.64) set new personal bests for the newcomer to the Falcons.
SPU's indoor season continues this weekend close to home when they compete at the UW Invite Jan. 30-31 in Seattle inside Dempsey Indoor.
