Garcia Earns Second Career GNAC Player of the Week Honor

PORTLAND, Ore. - For the second time in her career, Seattle Pacific University women's golfer Zoe Garcia has been named the Great Northwest Athletic Conference's Player of the Week.

"Zoe put together another strong performance for us," head coach Tyler Copp said. "She converted up-and-downs at a high rate and only had one 3-putt over the course of 36 holes. It was fun watching her compete down the stretch as she remained in contention and executed shots. We are all excited to move forward to our final two events of the fall season."

Garcia was the GNAC's top finisher at last week's Western Washington Invitational in Bellingham. She posted a two-round score of 1-over-par 145 (69-76) which was good enough for a second-place finish among a field of 46 players. Garcia started out on fire, making five birdies on her way to a 3-under-par 69 her first time through the course.

Overall she finished the two-round event with seven birdies and nothing worse than a bogey on her scorecard. A first-team all-conference selection last year, Garcia is coming off a junior campaign in 2025-26 that saw her tie for fourth place at the GNAC Championships and post a season scoring average of 77.2 strokes per round. Through her first six rounds of 2026-27, Garcia has already improved upon that mark as she ranks second in the conference at 75.2 strokes per round.

Garcia and the Falcons tee it up at the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by Hawaii Hilo on Oct. 26-27 at the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course.
