11 Falcons Earn GNAC All-Academic Recognition

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced its Men's Soccer All-Academic team presented by Barnes & Noble College on Wednesday afternoon, with 11 members of the Seattle Pacific University men's soccer team earning recognition.

To make the GNAC All-Academic team, nominees must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale (based on GPA at the current institution). Nominees must be in their second season competing at the nominating institution. First-years, redshirt freshman, and transfers in their first year competing at your institution are not eligible. For graduate students, the undergraduate GPA must also meet the 3.2 minimum. Nominees must be on the roster for the complete season.

Connor Tollan, a three-time GNAC All-Academic honoree, leads the Falcons with a 3.82 GPA. Brady Fendrich, Jackson Goode, and Aaron Stapleton join Tollan as three-time selections. Isaac Ketcham and Christopher Soto are on the list for the second time. Cristian Chel Lara, Johan Gaytan, Lukas Shriner, and Mitchell Wilson are making their first appearance on the list.

"This type of recognition is especially rewarding for our coaching staff because we know the commitment it takes to be a student-athlete at SPU," head coach Kevin Sakuda said. "We're proud of the effort our guys put into striving for excellence on the field and in the classroom."
