SPOKANE, Wash. – Tawaf Aboudou earned his first Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championship in the long jump, while
Mikel Saxon,
Maya Ewing, and
Anna Prussian earned All-Conference honors during day one of the GNAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Monday.

TOP PERFORMERS
- Aboudou earned his first GNAC crown in the long jump with a leap of 23-04.50.

- Aboudou qualified in the top spot in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.73.
- Maya Ewing took second place in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:24.14.

- Teammate Anna Prussian took third in the same event, finishing with a time of 17:28.76.
- Mikel Saxon earned third place in the pole vault, clearing 14-09.00.
- Jada Sarrys qualified for the finals in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.68.

- Sarrys ran a 57.70 in the 400-meter prelims as well.
- Andrew Bell clocked an 8.24 in the 60-meter hurdles, qualifying for the finals with the fifth fastest time.
- Hannah Chang had the second-fastest time in the 60-meter hurdles with an 8.65.
BEYOND THE RESULTS
- Aboudou was the only competitor to clear 23 feet in the men's long jump.
- He became the third Falcon and first since 2007 to win the event at the indoor championships, joining Justin Felt (2007) and three-time gold medalist Chris Randolph (2004-06).
- Saxon picked up his first All-Conference honor with a third-place finish in pole vault.
- Ewing and Prussian earned All-Conference recognition for their finishes in the 5,000 meters.
