PORTLAND, Ore. – The Great Northwest Athletic Conference announced its Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team presented by Barnes & Noble College on Wednesday afternoon, with three members of the Seattle Pacific University women's volleyball team earning recognition.
To make the GNAC All-Academic team, nominees must have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA on a 4.00 scale (based on GPA at the current institution). Nominees must be in their second season competing at the nominating institution. First-years, redshirt freshman, and transfers in their first year competing at your institution are not eligible. For graduate students, the undergraduate GPA must also meet the 3.2 minimum. Nominees must be on the roster for the complete season.
Sophia Chambers leads the group as the only two-time GNAC All-Academic selection.
Makayla Hickman owns the highest grade point average of the eligible recipients with a 3.96.
Brooke Williams and
Amaya Evans join Hickman in making their first appearance on the GNAC All-Academic Team.

The Falcons travel east for a pair of matches this weekend. SPU takes on Central Washington tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. in Ellensburg, Wash., followed by a match against Northwest Nazarene on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. PST.
