Copp Reveals 2025 Women's Golf Signing Class

SEATTLE – Seattle Pacific University women's golf head coach Tyler Copp announced the additions of Lauren Lee, Alle Klemkow, and Stella Johnson as the 2025 signing class on Tuesday afternoon.

"We are so pleased with how the 2025 recruiting class came together," Copp said. "Word is spreading quickly in our home state, and I love how all three of our signees have had significant success early in their high school and college careers in the state of Washington. Better yet, I know they will help enhance our team dynamic and culture. We are very excited to welcome Lauren, Alle, and Stella to our program."

Lee joins the Falcons from Bellevue High School, where she was on two state championship-winning teams. In her best season, Lee placed second individually in the KingCo League and finished sixth individually at state. She earned Second Team All-League honors as a sophomore before being named First Team All-League in her final two seasons with the Wolverines. Lee spent her first collegiate season at Western Washington University before transferring to Seattle Pacific. Lee finished tied for 10th at last year's GNAC Championships.

"Lauren had a tremendous freshman campaign in the GNAC," Copp said. "Her scores speak for themselves, but better yet, her attitude, competitive spirit, and perspective will help bring further team success for our program. Academically, we fit her needs, so I know she will thrive at SPU with a fresh start."

Klemkow joins the Falcons from White River High School and Buckley, Wash. She competed in the state tournament in 2024, shooting 75 and 78 in each round of the tournament. Klemkow finished fourth individually at that state tournament, while her team won the 2024 state championship. She earned Second Team All-League honors once, while collecting First Team All-League honors three times. Academically, she was a National Honor Society member. Klemkow played one season at Vanguard University before transferring to Seattle Pacific.

"Alle is a fantastic addition to our program," Copp said. "She will bring energy and light to our program that I know everyone will enjoy. On the course, she has some serious distance off the tee and a beautiful golf swing that will bring about great results. She's eager for a new challenge and will be a great fit here."

Johnson is a first-year Falcon from Tacoma, Wash., and Stadium High School. She collected four First Team All-League honors as a Tiger, with two league Most Valuable Player awards to her name. She made three state tournament appearances and finished second individually in 2023.  In 2025, she was named the Tacoma & Pierce County Athletic Association Player of the Year. Academically, Johnson was a Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Scholar-Athlete and graduated magna cum laude. She also earned the Superintendent's Scholar Athlete Award.

"Stella is someone we recruited from the very beginning of our program's launch," Copp said. "She comes from a high-level golf family that has influenced her work ethic. In addition, the mission fit and academic programs were a big draw. She will continue to grow as a player and person over the next four years."
The newcomers join seven returners for the Falcons for the 2025-26 season. SPU placed sixth at the GNAC Championships in their inaugural season. Zoe Garcia returns after being named the GNAC Newcomer of the Year a season ago. Natalie Eklund is back after recording the best score for the Falcons at the GNAC Championships. Brigitte Fenton, Hannah Hochsprung, Anika Schau, Sara Rhodes, and Sophie Stamatis return with a season of experience with the Falcons.

The Falcons play their first tournament of the 2025 fall season on Sept. 22-23. They'll head to DuPont, Wash., for the Grisham Memorial Shootout at the Home Course.

"It's exciting to add more Falcons to our roster, and I'm proud of the work our returning players have been putting in this summer back home," Copp added. "Many of them have been competing in tournaments and practicing a lot on their own. I know our growth from our returners and overall depth will strengthen the level of competition within our program."
