SEATTLE – Seattle Pacific University women's soccer head coach Arby Busey announced the Falcons' 2026 schedule, consisting of an 18-match slate featuring nine home contests at Interbay Soccer Stadium and a challenging Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule.
 
"We're very excited to get things going," Busey said. "We have several new opponents on the schedule this fall, beginning with a three-game road trip to Northern California that will be both fun and challenging as we open the season. Facing Chico State, Jessup, and CSU East Bay gives us two tough CCAA opponents and a PacWest squad that continued to grow stronger throughout last fall. We'll then host a strong RMAC team in Colorado Mesa before beginning our always-rigorous GNAC schedule. It should be another great fall season"
 
Seattle Pacific opens the season with a three-match road trip through Northern California. The Falcons begin the campaign at Chico State on Thursday, Aug. 27, at 7:00 p.m. before traveling to Rocklin to face Jessup on Saturday, Aug. 29, at 11:00 a.m. SPU concludes the road swing at Cal State East Bay on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 2:00 p.m.
 
The Falcons make their home debut on Saturday, Sept. 12, when Colorado Mesa visits Interbay Soccer Stadium for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
 
GNAC play begins Thursday, Sept. 17, as the Falcons travel to Saint Martin's for a 3:00 p.m. matchup. The Falcons return home two days later to host Western Oregon on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 1:00 p.m.
 
The Falcons head north the following week for a pair of road contests, beginning with a 6:00 p.m. matchup at Simon Fraser on Thursday, Sept. 24. SPU then travels to Bellingham to face Western Washington on Saturday, Sept. 26, at 7:00 p.m.
 
SPU opens October with two home matches at Interbay Soccer Stadium. Northwest Nazarene visits Seattle on Thursday, Oct. 1, for a 5:00 p.m. kickoff before the Falcons host Central Washington on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 1:00 p.m.
 
The Falcons then begin a four-match road stretch. Seattle Pacific travels to Western Oregon on Thursday, Oct. 8, for a 2:00 p.m. contest before visiting MSU Billings on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 11:00 a.m. The road swing continues at Central Washington on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5:00 p.m. and concludes at Northwest Nazarene on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2:00 p.m.
 
Seattle Pacific closes the regular season with four consecutive home matches. The Falcons host Western Washington on Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7:00 p.m. before welcoming Simon Fraser on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 5:00 p.m.
 
The final homestand continues Thursday, Oct. 29, when MSU Billings visits Interbay Soccer Stadium for a 3:00 p.m. matchup. SPU concludes the regular season and celebrates Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 31, against Saint Martin's at 4:00 p.m.
 
Interbay Soccer Stadium will host the 2026 GNAC Women's Soccer Championships from Nov. 5-7. The Falcons will look to use their home-field advantage throughout the season while building toward a return to postseason competition.
 
The Falcons enter 2026 with a chance to extend their streak of qualifying for the GNAC Championships to 14. SPU has never missed the GNAC Championships since its inception in 2012. Experienced returners in Landry Schoennauer, Ashlyn Valdovinos, and Andie Buckley hope to lead the Falcons to a deep postseason run.
 
Schoennauer appeared in 18 matches and played 810 minutes in goal for the Falcons in 2025.  She led the team with 36 saves, had an .837 save percentage, and a 0.78 goals-against average. She earned GNAC All-Academic Team recognition.
 
Valdovinos had a strong 2025 season, appearing in 19 matches for the Falcons, playing 1,347 minutes while recording three goals and three assists for nine points. She scored the game-winning goal against Saint Martin's on Sept. 25. Valdovinos earned First Team All-GNAC and Second Team D2 CCA All-Region honors while also receiving GNAC All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District recognition.
 
Buckley appeared in and started all 20 matches for the Falcons, playing 1,380 minutes while recording two goals and three assists for seven points. She also took 16 shots, including six on goal, and earned GNAC All-Academic Team and CSC Academic All-District recognition.
 
The Falcons welcome eight newcomers to their roster in 2026. Claire Largent, Natalie Carroll, Khloe Mahaffey, Piper Pasley, Charlotte Santos, and Celia Ramos enter their first year of collegiate soccer. Raeah Raymondo and Jaylee Curran join the squad as transfers to round out the signing class.
 
Largent joins Seattle Pacific after a four-year varsity career at Enumclaw High School, where she earned both First Team and Second Team All-League honors and was named WIAA Athlete of the Week. She also helped her PacNW G08/07 club team win the Surf Cup tournament.
 
Carroll joins Seattle Pacific after a four-year varsity career at North Creek High School. She was a two-time Golden Ball winner, earned three All-KingCo Crown/Crest Division Honorable Mention selections, and received Second Team All-KingCo recognition once. Carroll also helped North Creek qualify for the district tournament in each of her four seasons.
 
Mahaffey joins Seattle Pacific after a four-year varsity career at Sumner High School. A four-year letterwinner and team captain, she earned Team Defensive MVP honors as a sophomore and senior, Second Team All-League recognition as a junior, and First Team All-League honors as a senior. Mahaffey also helped lead Sumner to four consecutive SPSL League championships, the 2023 District Championship, and four state tournament appearances.
 
With an early road trip through California, a balanced conference schedule and nine opportunities to compete in front of the home crowd, Seattle Pacific will look to build momentum throughout the fall and contend for a spot in the GNAC and NCAA postseason.
