SEATTLE – The Seattle Pacific University men's and women's cross country teams competed close to home at Lower Woodland Park on Saturday morning, where
Maya Ewing won and was accompanied by
Anna Prussian, Matise Much inside the top five, while
Silas Demmert and
Avery Erickson picked up top 10 finishes for the men.
FROM THE COACH
"We competed much better today on the women's side than we did two weeks ago," assistant coach
Eric Hansen said. "The women executed the race plan really well, and it paid off."
"Silas is one of the strongest hill runners I've ever been around," Hansen said. "This course really plays to his skill set, and he showed it today. Darian has been showing a lot of improvement lately as well. He stepped up and was our #4 today."
"We're looking to take this confidence and execution into the conference championships and raise our intensity to another level over these next two weeks," Hansen said.
