Ewing Leads SPU Women to 7th Place Finish at Regionals

MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Seattle Pacific University cross country teams competed at NCAA West Regionals on Saturday morning, where Maya Ewing's eighth-place finish led the SPU women to their best team finish at Regionals in six years.

FROM THE COACH
"Really proud of the resilience this team showed this season," assistant coach Eric Hansen said. "I want to recognize our seniors for the improvement they have led over the last four years. They've continued to finish better at regionals every year since they've been at SPU. We're moving in the right direction and excited for track. Maya had a tough fall before the halfway mark, but she fought back to get 8th, so she still has a shot. Now we have to wait until Monday to see if she gets in."
