Krueger Named D2CCA First Team All-West Region

SAN FRANCISCO - The Division II Conference Commissioners Association announced its women's soccer All-West Region team on Tuesday, featuring Seattle Pacific University women's soccer player Taylor Krueger as a First Team selection.

Krueger adds to a lengthy list of awards earned as a Falcon. She earned her second Great Northwest Athletic Conference specialty award in two seasons with the Falcons. Last year, she was named the conference's Newcomer of the Year. In 2024, Krueger shared a piece of the GNAC Player of the Year, and was a unanimous First Team selection. Now, she's a D2CAA First Team All-West Region selection.

"Taylor had a great season for us this past fall, she contributed in many so many ways both on and off the field," head coach Arby Busey said. "She created consistent opportunities for our team all season long, and it is great to have her recognized for all she contributed to our success this fall. She was someone we counted on to threaten our opponent's goal, and she came through time and time again for us."

Krueger created in many ways for the Falcons throughout 2024. She led SPU with six goals, including a game-winner against Montana State University Billings on Nov. 26. She's finished the year tied for fourth in the conference in goals. Krueger started all 18 matches during the regular season, ranking second in the conference with 55 shots for an average of 3.06 per game.

Krueger's ability to find teammates was excellent. She accumulated seven assists on the year, the third-most in the GNAC. Krueger's total of 19 points was the second-most in the conference.

The D2CCA all-region teams are selected by media relations professionals from the region's NCAA Division II institutions. Players selected to the all-region first team are eligible for the 2024 D2CCA All-America awards, which will be announced on Dec. 10 before the 2024 Final Four.
