STEILACOOM, Wash. – The Seattle Pacific University men's and women's cross country team opened their seasons at the Green River Invitational on Saturday morning, where
Maya Ewing won the women's race and
Isaac Venable was the top finisher for the SPU men.
WOMEN'S TOP FINISHERS
- Ewing posted the best time of anyone on Saturday morning, clocking a 13:42.4 and finishing in first place.
- Alexa Gossett turned in a time of 14:18.2 and finished in ninth place.
- Katelyn Flolo finished in 15th place with a time of 14:48.8.
- Matise Mulch wasn't far behind, finishing in 14:55.5 and placing 17th.
- Anna Prussian finished in 19th place with a time of 15:04.7.
MEN'S TOP FINISHERS
- Isaac Venable's 18:53.3 was the fastest time posted by the SPU men on Saturday.
- Avery Erickson made his debut for the Falcons on Saturday, clocking a 19:21.5.
- Silas Demmert finished close behind his new teammate with a time of 19:26.0.
- Nathaniel Gale opened his senior season by posting a 19:35.4.
- Newcomer Darian Penn rounded out the SPU top five with a 20.01.3 in his first collegiate race.
